1929 Le Mans 24 hours. Bentley works team cars

Domination is the word that best describes Bentley’s participation in the 1929 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team commanded the race with a 1-2-3-4 finish. The annual endurance Grand Prix has very much influenced the British manufacturer’s roots, with the company participating in the race since the very first Le Mans 24 Hours back in 1923, and winning all four years from 1927 to 1930. Pictured here are three of Bentley Work’s racing cars from 1929, driven by Woolf Barnato, Henry Birkin, Jack Dunfee, Glen Kingston, Dudley Benjafield and André d’Erlanger.
